The First Post - On Blogging

It is always said that a journey of a thousand miles starts with a single step. And so it is with this blog. Some people, with the collective name of the Young KL Singers, have forcefully converted me to the Xanga creed. Well, not forcefully in that sense but... Forget it.

So yeah. This is the first post, of hopefully something that will last for quite a bit. I always had something against blogging. I mean, why the hell would you want to write about something only to think later, shit did I really think THAT!? You get the general picture. For me, looking back at my past with pictures and documents would evoke that kind of feeling. On the other hand, telling stories or discussing it with mates seem perfectly fine, and in some cases, romantic. Probably because photos and documents remind me of the truths which one would rather hide. But hey, might as well blog, da?

It's amazing what boredom does to you. There I was, sitting in front of the PC and idling my arse out, maybe I should rewind a few weeks back. There I was, sitting in front of the PC... In case you haven't gotten the picture yet, I've been generally idling at home doing very much of nothing except for rather time-consuming online games called NESes where one can learn the amazing art of ruling a nation, making alliances and breaking them, with a spot of betrayal and politics and a dash of fighting.  In addition, about 20% of my time has been spent on music, my current - and longest lasting passion.

The amazing Young KL Singers, vocal lessons with Sussana, bass lessons with Alda (been dilinquent on that one ) and working on a recording with Ian's One Half Cup. That has been my general real life schedule for this month and I swear I'll be missing it quite a bit when I leave for NZ on the 4th. I reckon I'm digressing again so let's just go straight to the point. So there I was, happily NESing away and whiling away a massive surplus of time when the incessant cries of my YKLS mates popped into my head. "Get a blog lar.. Ya man! Okay!! Could you girls have a breast in the middle?" Alright, not the last one, but YKLSers would understand that bit and the rest of you would understand what I mean..  And thus, the idiot Ben decided on starting up a blog. So I present to all, the Banana Split Café and a window to what little life I still have.

p/S: Yes, that IS a hanging Papa Smurf.

pp/S: And YES, Women has an "M" in it, whatever the rest of you may say.
